Do you know someone at your club who always goes the extra mile? The unsung hero. The pitch-side legend. The one who turns up, shows up, and makes cricket happen?
Now’s your chance to give them the recognition they truly deserve!
We’re celebrating our incredible Criced Wales Crew, the volunteers, coaches, groundskeepers, awesome schools’ programmes , and champions of the game.
There are 16 award categories to choose from (see below) and nominating couldn’t be easier.

An expert panel will shortlist nominees and those selected will be invited to a special Cricket Wales awards dinner and Criced celebration at Sophia Gardens. Pob lwc!
Categories:
- Coach of the Year- A coach who goes the extra mile and is a true coaching hero to their club, league, county or school
- Club of the Year- A club or community organisation which has gone above and beyond to #raisethegame and support communities and/or groups.
- Sport For All Award- An individual or group within your club or community organisation going above and beyond to #raisethegame and open up the game to all #CricedAsportforall
- Metro bank Champion of Girls Cricket- A volunteer, coach or role model who has championed growing girls' cricket at their club.
- Cricket Innovator- Someone who has brought new ideas and/or implemented new systems to improve your club club or community group.
- Volunteer of the Year- A league volunteer, committee member, or administrator going above and beyond to support clubs and help increase the number of games played.
- Young Volunteer Award 11-16- A young volunteer making a difference in the game.
- Young Volunteer Award 17-25- A young volunteer making a difference in the game.
- Grounds Management Award- An opportunity to reward and recognise those volunteers who are working hard and improving the places where the game is played.
- Safe Hands Award- An individual that has gone above and beyond to create a positive and inclusive environment for young people to enjoy the game.
- Green Club Award- A club or community organisation that is addressing the threat climate change poses to cricket, by making sustainable changes to operations, adapting their facilities and/or engaging and educating their local community.
- Young Coach Award 16-25- A young person who is already passing on their enthusiasm for the game and inspiring the next generation of players.
- Unsung Hero- Those heroes who impact our game from behind-the-scenes and help us make cricket happen.
- Primary School of the Year- Celebrating a Primary school's outstanding commitment to promoting cricket through exceptional coaching, participation, and achievement.
- Secondary School of the Year- Celebrating a Secondary school's outstanding commitment to promoting cricket through exceptional coaching, participation, and achievement.
- Lifetime Achievement- That one individual who has given many years of service to your club or community group and who you could not do without.
