ECB Support Coach
Anyone aged 16 and over wishing to support qualified coaches. Inspire players and make a difference to the game. This course is perfect for young club members looking to get into coaching and parents of All Stars / Dynamos that are happy to get more involved at club training sessions.
ECB Foundation I Coach
Anyone aged 17 and over wishing to become qualified to coach cricket. inspire players and make a difference to the game. Learn the foundations of Fielding, Batting and Bowling. This is an entry level qualification for players / parents that want to get players started with the game. Provide purposeful, active, enjoyable and safe sessions. You will be able to coach and manage a team independently.
ECB Core Coach
Anyone aged 17 and over wishing to become qualified to coach cricket. This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead player-centred coaching sessions. An ECB Core Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision (including nets). This course is the next step on the coaching pathway above Foundation I. The course is aimed at experienced players / developing coaches that wish to offer more advanced coaching to players. Candidates that are interested in booking a place on this course will need to demonstrate they have suitable experience in the game / coaching.
ECB Advanced Coach
For coaches working with players and teams all across playing environments that hold an ECB level 2 qualification or equivalent. A programme that will help you challenge your current coaching practice and further your knowledge and understanding in a variety of areas. (Delivered centrally by The ECB)
ECB Specialist Coach
For coaches working with players and teams across all playing environments that hold an ECB level 3 qualification or equivalent with at least one year of coaching experience since certification. This programme has been designed to build on your experiences to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to challenge existing thinking and beliefs about cricket coaching and develop specialist areas of expertise when coaching individuals, units and teams. (Delivered centrally by The ECB)
FUNDING
Entry Level Coaching courses (Excluding Advanced / Specialist Coach) are usually supported by the BE ACTIVE WALES (Progress Grants) scheme if applied for via your Cricket Club, before the course takes place. Please contact a colleague as shown above for help.
Course enrolment is now only via online link. You will be given a choice of paying immediately or off-line payment. If the Club is paying, they will be invoiced prior to start of course
