Who is it for ?

Anyone aged 17 and over wishing to become qualified to coach cricket. This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead player-centred coaching sessions. An ECB Core Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision (including nets).  This course is the next step on the coaching pathway above Foundation I. The course is aimed at experienced players / developing coaches that wish to offer more advanced coaching to players. Candidates that are interested in booking a place on this course will need to demonstrate they have suitable experience in the game / coaching.

Who is it for?

Anyone aged 17 and over wishing to become qualified to coach cricket, inspire and develop players and make a difference to the game.

Commitment 

  • £300.00
  • 8 face-to-face modules lasting 3 hours each including 2 observed coaching opportunities
  • 6 bitesize e-learning modules lasting 15-20 minutes each
  • Multiple choice question assessment

Pre-requisites for certification

You must:

Have valid safeguarding training e.g. Safeguarding Young Cricketers

Have valid ECB DBS

Be at least 18 years of age

 

FUNDING

Entry Level Coaching courses are usually supported by the BE ACTIVE WALES (Progress Grants) scheme if applied for via your Cricket Club, before the course takes place. Please contact a colleague as shown above for help. 

Course enrolment is now only via online link. You will be given a choice of paying immediately or off-line payment. If the Club is paying, they will be invoiced prior to start of course
