Our Responsibility

The national governing body for cricket in Wales

Cricket Wales is proud to be the National Governing Body for cricket in Wales one of 39 County Cricket Boards that make up the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and recognised by both Sport Wales and the Welsh Government.

In a landmark moment for Welsh sport, Cricket Wales became a registered charity in 2025, the first Welsh governing body ever to achieve charitable status. This milestone reflects our deep commitment to growing the game for everyone and using cricket as a force for good across our communities.

At Cricket Wales, we believe cricket brings people together. It inspires, connects, and creates opportunities for all, no matter your age, background, or ability. We’re proud to lead a sport built on care, respect, and shared passion; a game that celebrates its heritage while embracing innovation for the future.

In 2025, Cricket Wales achieved an historic milestone, becoming the first Welsh governing body to gain charitable status.
