Cricket Wales' newest board member is Shana Thomas. Shana is relatively new to the game in terms of cricket administration but brings with her appointment an energy and zeal to grow then game even further, She has made a big impression so far and this impressed the Board's recruitment panel.
Let's hear from Shana herself...
"As a newly appointed co-opted member of the Cricket Wales Board and having attended my first Board meeting in April, my first impressions were really positive. I felt honoured to be part of a group who clearly have a wealth of experience and passion to drive cricket forward in Wales. Already, I feel that there is a strong sense of cohesion in the Board. Yes, there is formality but the Board has a fantastic mix of personalities and backgrounds that makes it somewhere where I look forward to spending more time. The strong governance and safeguarding policies and practice gives me reassurance that the Board will support me as an individual and for what I can bring to Welsh Cricket. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and learning to support the growth of the game, especially the women's game. "
