"All booked within an hour".... this was the reply when asked how the offer to the Girls Guides Cymru network was going. This event is now in its fourth year of making a visit to Sophia Gardens.
Hundreds of girls had their first taste of cricket at the home of Welsh Cricket; ably helped by a large group of coaches and volunteers plus some current stars of the game including Lauren Parfitt, Megan Janczewski, Mariam Sahabdeen, Mason Crane and Ben Kellaway.
"Our partnership with Cricket Wales has been a real success story, and it's been wonderful to see our cricket events at Sophia Gardens grow stronger each year. Now in its fourth year, this event, alongside the release of our challenge pack, offers a fantastic opportunity for our members to try a new sport and develop new skills. We are so grateful to Cricket Wales for their ongoing support and for helping us provide these memorable experiences for our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers." Lisa Edwards Girl Guides Cymru.
