Following Welsh Government's confirmation of the move to Alert Level 0, on Saturday 7th August, and the further easing of legal Coronavirus restrictions, Cricket Wales has, in partnership with colleagues at the England & Wales Cricket Board, updated its guidance for clubs and participants.
The latest guidance can be found here.
We would particularly remind facility-owners and event-organisers that while most legal restrictions and requirements, in themselves, have been lifted, it is still incumbent, legally, on those who are responsible for spaces where the public gather to undertake a Coronavirus risk assessment and take reasonable measures to limit the transmission of the virus.
Face-coverings also remain mandatory in indoor public spaces, excluding hospitality settings, and should be worn in changing rooms, where they have been deemed viable and safe to operate, with the requisite mitigations.
It is expected this guidance will now be in place until the end of the outdoor cricket season. Cricket Wales would therefore like to place on record at this time our sincere thanks to all club volunteers and particiapnts, who have dilligently implemented and followed the standing guidance for cricket, as it has evolved in line with the changes in the law, and kept cricket in Wales safe.
