Cricket Wales / Criced Cymru recruiting two new Recreational Game Directors (Non-Executive Directors)
Cricket Wales are looking to recruit two new Recreational Game Non-Executive Directors to join the Board of Cricket Wales.
This is a great time to be joining the Board as we embark on developing our next strategic plan. Our focus will be to ensure that cricket is “the most inclusive team sport in Wales” and that everyone feels welcome to be involved in our sport in the way that is best for them.
Non-Executive Directors are accountable for ensuring the company meets its legal obligations and for the performance of Cricket Wales in its mission and delivery of strategy. Non-Executive Directors provide appropriate oversight, scrutiny, challenge, and leadership to the company in the pursuit of its aim to provide effective and high-quality services to its members and grow cricket in Wales. Non-Executive Directors have a particular role in scrutinising the performance of the senior executive management team in meeting agreed goals and objectives and monitoring the reporting of performance. Skills in areas such as strategic planning, financial planning, developing new income stream, governance and risk management are among those we are looking for.
To be eligible to apply to be a Recreational Game Non-Executive Director you must be a member of an organisation that affiliates to Cricket Wales or of an organisation that is a Member or Associate Member of Cricket Wales, and you must be nominated and seconded by members of a Member or Associate Member of Cricket Wales.
We welcome applications from anyone who meets the eligibility criteria.
In this instance we are particularly seeking applications from people with a strong interest and experience in one or more of the following;
- Developing cricket for Women and Girls
- Working in communities where cricket is less prevalent
- Safeguarding in either a voluntary or professional capacity.
Cricket Wales is committed to providing equitable opportunities. It is important that Recreational Directors come from across all of our country and therefore in this instance we would particularly welcome applications from eligible people who live or play cricket in West Wales, North or Mid Wales.

Mae Criced Cymru wedi ymrwymo i ddarparu cyfleoedd cyfartal. Er y byddwn bob amser yn penodi ar sail teilyngdod, byddem yn annog ceisiadau yn arbennig oddi wrth grwpiau a chymunedau sydd heb gynrychiolaeth ddigonol ym myd criced – yn enwedig merched neu bobl o gefndiroedd ethnig amrywiol, neu rai sydd ag anabledd.
