Further to recent changes in Coronavirus legislation in Wales, the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket Wales have agreed updates to the standing Guidance for Indoor Cricket Activity.
The latest document can be found here and replaces the last update to Indoor guidance, issued in December 2020. There are also updated checklists and risk assessment documents, aligned to the updates, which are linked to in the document, and can be found at the ECB Resource Hub (Easy search: 'Wales')
A summary of changes and main points can be found on p1-2 of the document, altough we urge, minimally, a club or venue's appointed Coronavirus Officer to read, digest and reflect upon the whole document and review processes appropriately.
It is important for participants to note recent changes in maximum group sizes, to up to 30 indoors (IF SPACE AT YOUR VENUE ALLOWS), and the recent changes in hospitality regulations and guidance, as well as changes to guidance regarding the use of changing facilities, if you are responsible for, or planning to use, such facilities.
There have been no changes in Wales to regulations with regards to face coverings, social distancing, sanitisation etc, and these guidelines should be familiar to those who have partiicpated outdoors recently but if you are not sure please consult the relevant part of the document.
There is another Welsh Government review scheduled for 3 June 2021 and guidance will be subject to any material changes which may be announced subsequently, so please check our channels regualrly for the most up to date information, or contact your Area Teams, who will be happy to help.
