With the season now underway, Cricket Wales are pleased to share news of the regional programme nominations process for the winter of 2022/23 which is now LIVE and will operate throughout the summer!
How does it work?
All players (U9-U14 boys and girls) must be nominated via the following Google Form by Sunday 26th June: https://forms.gle/uZNF2HkNEDo3muRN7
Please note:
1) Only players that were not involved in last year's regional winter programme should be nominated.
2) You do not need to nominate the same player more than once over the course of a summer.
3) All nominations (with the exception of U9 boys and girls nominations) should be submitted during, or retrospectively shortly after a match performance. If you would like to nominate a player that isn't on the back of a match performance please email your regional lead.
What happens once I complete a nomination?
*Once you submit a nomination we will invite U9 & U10 Boys and all girls age groups to a number of observation sessions in September to ascertain their suitability for the programme.
What's different to last year?
For all other age groups, regional leads and/or regional coaches will look to observe nominated players during a match or during a club training session rather than invite them to an observation session. This enables us to verify nominations in a more natural environment for the player during the season (rather than at the end of it) and allows us to be more efficient from a resource perspective.
