Cricket Wales is thrilled to confirm that 125 cubs across Wales are set to host All Stars (5-8s) & Dynamos (8-11s) programmes this year! Now in its eighth year, this game-changing initiative continues to inspire the next generation of cricketers.
For eight weeks—and into the summer holidays—clubs across the country will become the heart of their communities. Since All Stars and Dynamos launched in 2017, the impact has been incredible.
Returning participants have made the most of the priority registration window over the past two weeks, with over 200+ signing up ahead of today’s national launch. Cricket Wales expects to reach 6,000+ participants this year, with many past attendees now playing Junior League cricket.
With a whole summer of cricket ahead, national registration opens Today (March 19th).
Mark White, Head of Participation, said: "All Stars & Dynamos are at the heart of the Welsh summer, filling clubs and communities across Wales with children in blue and yellow T-shirts, running around and having fun. Since its launch in 2017, this fantastic initiative has introduced more children to cricket than ever before. As a result, record numbers of young players are now transitioning into junior teams, with 2024 seeing the highest entries across Wales."
Barry, CEO of Cricket Wales, said: "It’s been an exciting nine months in the role, and as I head into my first full summer in the sport, it’s fantastic to see all the hard work that has gone into preparing for a packed season. Hardly a day goes by without someone sharing how these programmes have positively impacted their club, child, or community. Many parents and volunteers who previously had no interest in cricket are now passionate fans, actively involved, and recognising the programme’s incredible value."
The programmes officially start on May 9th, with some clubs running sessions throughout the summer.
