Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

With over 35 years’ experience within the safeguarding profession, in local authorities, the voluntary sector and professional sports. Debbie has experience in managing youth, community, extended schools’ projects, sports projects, and several other services/projects in both statutory and voluntary organisations.  Later in her career she focused on safeguarding in sports. This included supporting sports clubs to meet their safeguarding standards whilst meeting national legislation.

Her belief is that every club and activity have the responsibility to ensure that the event is a safe and enjoyable experience for all involved.  

In her spare time Debbie enjoys going to football games, walking, reading, and going to the gym.
