Barry Cawte

Now based in Newport with his wife and four sons, he brings extensive leadership expertise to Cricket Wales.

Barry previously served as Chief Executive of Scottish Hockey and sat on the GB Hockey Board. His career also includes roles as CEO of the Welsh Rugby Players’ Association, the first Independent Chair of Tennis Wales, and National Tennis & Sports Manager for Greenwich Leisure Ltd, the UK’s largest leisure operator.

Renowned for his award-winning work in grassroots sport, facility development, and sustainability, Barry has consistently driven progress in equality, diversity, and inclusion. Outside work, he enjoys family time, holidays, running, golf, and trips to the cinema.
