Glamorgan Cricket has partnered with sports
production company Camsat, a local Welsh company, to bring a new and improved
live stream to Glamorgan’s fanbase. The investment comes after Glamorgan’s
members decided, in vast numbers, to donate their membership fees to the Club,
and will cover the Club’s two home Bob Willis Trophy fixtures as well as all
Vitality Blast fixtures.
This means that every club cricketer in Wales,
both junior and senior can access good quality coverage of the short and longer
game at professional level.
The live stream will feature three manned
cameras and a fixed camera as well as integrating the two analyst cameras from
behind the bowler at each end.
Camsat have previously worked on Commonwealth
and Olympics games, as well as international hockey and football events and the
International Eisteddfod, and they bring a wealth of live sports broadcast
experience.
Hugh Morris, Chief Executive, said: “Our members
and supporters have demonstrated incredible loyalty to us during this period,
and have always supported us through thick and thin, and we believe that as a
Club we needed to reward that loyalty in the best way possible in this unusual
2020 season.
“Even though our fans cannot be with us in
person, we know they are in spirit and now they can view cricket at Sophia
Gardens with our best offering yet.
“We’re also working with our partners across the
county game to help our fans access away games, and to help away fans with
access to our upgraded live stream throughout the season.”

Please
note: the Glamorgan Match Zone will be live with match preview information from
Friday 14th August, followed by the full live stream on Saturday morning.
Eight Clubs in Profile
As part of the online experience, eight
clubs across Wales will be profiled (one on each of the eight match days of the
two home Bob Willis Trophy games) with the help of a short film demonstrating
their recent story and how they have improved / turned their clubs around. The
eight clubs include: Ynystawe, Dolgellau, Hawarden Park, Aberystwyth, Sudbrook,
Upper Rhondda, Cresselly and Skewen.
