10th February 2015
| Mallory Gray
The tour will last ten days. Wales will compete against Essex, Loughborough
University and United Arab Emirates. They will play in a quadrangular
competition with the final on Saturday 21st February. All fixtures
will be played at the international cricket venues Zayed Stadium Abu Dhabi and
The Sharjah Stadium. Both are venues for the highly lucrative T20 Indian
Premier League.
John Derrick Cricket Wales Performance Manager said “We are taking a
very young but talented squad out to the UAE and with all the hard work the
girls have put in during the winter months we are looking forward to a very
good 10 days. We know it’s going to be tough with the heat and the age of the
opposition but we have practised hard over the few months and will continue to
do so. It will be a great experience for all the squad and the supporters.”
