"Wales Sport Awards nominations won’t officially launch until September 1
st, with the nomination process open until 25
th September.
We are currently upgrading the Wales Sport Awards website ready for the launch," reports Sport Wales. "As a head-start with partners, we are able to share the nomination forms and receive nominations. "
The email address to send completed applications is included on the forms and the appropriate forms can be downloaded from this site (The pre-fix is 'WS Awards').
Peter Hybart, CEO for Cricket Wales, commented, "At a time when general participation in cricket is a challenge it is more important that ever that the people in the game doing fantastic work are recognised for their efforts. Every year that I attend these Awards I come away feeling that cricket has stronger nominations than many of the other sports but we tend not to put ourselves forward! It is important that we keep the profile of the sport high in these circles and do justice to all the great people we have!"
There are three nomination forms attached:
*General Wales Sport Awards nomination form (in English and Welsh)
*Coach of the Year (elite)
*Team of the Year
Also attached are the category descriptions and terms and conditions.
Note some slight tweaks to our categories. For example, the Volunteer of the Year category is for non-coaching roles.
