Neath Knight Riders take the Vitality U19T20
Neath Knight Riders came away the victors when there game v Newport Knights was decided by Duckworth/Lewis at Newport CC on Sunday. The Knights batted first but after a strong power play led by Tom Evans (44) some accurate spin bowling from Nish Dalavaye (2-16) restricted them to 105-4 off 15 overs. In reply Simon Mogford (25) and James Archer (17) added 33 for the 1st wickets Ryan Thomas (28*) and Dan Davies (11*) kept above the rate when after 2 rain interruptions played was finally abandoned after 12 overs with the score on 87-2, with Neath KR celebrating a 9 run win.

In the first games, Neath KR (114-6) Simon Mogford (34) and James Archer (23) convincingly beat Haverfordwest Blue Lightening (72-8) by 45 runs in their first game.

Haverfordwest Blue Lightening improved dramatically in their 2nd game v Newport Knights when they totalled 106-5 (15 overs) Jake Merry (22) and Lewis Hough (38*) the main contributors and then bowled and fielded well to restrict the Knights to 65-8, Louis Daves (3-8) and Kieran O’Conner (3-5) doing the damage
