Under 15s March into YB U15s Semi-Finals
21st August 2013

At Usk, Wales were disappointed to post a score of only 160 all out in 45 overs, leaving the coaches frustrated that the full allocation of overs had not been used. Too often, our players were guilty of throwing away opportunities. The highest scorers were Steffan Roberts (31) and Kiran Carlson (43).
Even though the Wales team was defending a relatively modest total, the bowling attack, led by U14 bowler, Tom Murphy, made constant inroads into a strong Lancashire team. Only Lewis Wright (32) threatened to take the game from Wales as each bowler was backed up by excellent fielding. The critical spell of bowling came from Scott Thornton who came up with a remarkable bowling analysis of 10-4-7-4. The final wicket fell to Sam Pearce (2-31), as Lancashire fell 20 short - to send our boys into the semis.
