Cricket Wales is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden, tragic death of Tom Maynard, at the age of just 23. Prior to joining the Glamorgan Academy, Tom represented both Cardiff & the Vale and Wales age-groups. Throughout these years his talent shone through and nobody was in any doubt that he would follow in his father’s footsteps and play professional cricket. Our thoughts are with his parents Matthew and Sue, and their family, at this enormously difficult time.
At a recent meeting of the Board of Cricket Wales, the Chairman, Roger Morris, invited members to reflect for a few moments as a token of respect.
