Tackling Marginalisation and Radicalisation in Young People

|

The stadium education tours at the SSE SWALEC have trebled over the last year, so in 2016 we are hoping to develop our offer to schools to a higher and more serious level.

We recently ran a pilot session at the SSE SWALEC with young people discovering what happens when people feel they do not 'belong' and when the gap widens between 'them and us'. Using the Spirit of Cricket to help create belonging, we looked at how cricket can support and help young people in a very different field.

See what is said here about belonging and disaffection, and even radicalization.

The film captures the flavour of where we hope to get to. If you are an educationalist please get in touch as we have been encouraged that cricket can play a big contribution to these important issues for young people.
