Question of Sport Cricket A Big Success

Last Thursday (9th April) saw Cricket Wales host a live YouTube 'A Question of Sport' Cricket Edition which culminated in raising over £1000 for a the mental health charity 'Opening Up' which promotes positive mental wellbeing and suicide prevention. 

The quiz evening, which lasted just over two hours saw in excess of over 300 people involved from players, clubs, families, juniors to keen cricket lovers. Head of Talent Pathway, Matt Thompson played quiz master from home and it was great to see many interactions and engagements on social media as the evening progressed. Former Glamorgan batsman Aneurin Donald and his family were among many getting competitive with the quiz reaching all parts of Wales, some tuning in from London and a very special guest appearance earlier in the day from New Zealand international and adopted Welsh senior player Rachel Priest.

Cricket Wales would like to thank all those that donated their £2 entry fee and the many people who went even further. For those of you that weren't able to tune in the link to the quiz can be found below in addition to the fundraising link (which will last until the end of this week).
