Glamorgan player Aneurin Donald and assistant First XI coach Robert Croft, both products of the Wales development programme, made the presentations to players who have excelled in Wales teams.

Sophie Thomas from Cardiff and the Vale received her August/September award for a 65 not-out batting performance for Wales U13 girls against Gloucestershire.

Connor Brown from Cardiff and the Vale, recorded a string of top performances with bat and ball for Wales U17 boys - 86 against Somerset in a one-day game, and 28 and 2-27 off 25 overs in two-day game, 62 and 2-81 off 24 overs in a two-day semi-final against Surrey, 16 and 2-49 off 10 overs against Essex in a one-day semi-final,  and 25 and 2-27 off 9.5 against Lancashire in the one-day final.

Chris Matthews from Mid Glamorgan, wicketkeeper for the Wales U14 boys team, received his award for June, as he was unable to attend the presentation earlier in the summer. He took four dismissals, as well as scoring 98 against Hampshire and 94 against Somerset.

“These awards recognise the top performances with bat, ball and gloves over the past month, and also remind us of the depth of talent we have in Welsh cricket,” said Cricket Wales performance manager, John Derrick.
