New Systems Development Officer Appointed

|

Cricket Wales is pleased to announce that following a successful recruitment process Gavin Chilton has been appointed to the new role of Cricket Wales Systems Development Officer.

Gavin is currently the Cricket Wales Community Co-ordinator for Cardiff and the Vale and also previously spent six months acting as the Cricket Development Officer for Cardiff, the Vale and Mid Glamorgan.

The new role of Systems Development Officer will provide increased support to professional staff and the voluntary cricket network on maximising use of IT systems so as to reduce administrative time that in many cases does not add specific value to the game. Additionally the role will focus on developing the individual club membership system, use of the Chance to Shine ‘Views’ system, increasing the robustness of the annual Club Audit, analysing data trends within the game and website development.

Gavin brings with him a wealth of experience of community and club cricket and impressed the Panel with the extent to which these individuals are at the heart of his thinking about the role. He is also very much of the digital age!

We are in the process of managing a formal start date for the new role given Gavin’s current commitments within Cricket Wales. This will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
