MCC Laws Of Cricket revision – a presentation is coming near to you soon!
The MCC launched their revision to the Laws Of Cricket in Oct 2017, and as a result they take effect in forms of cricket from that date.
There are over two hundred changes!
Innumerable Laws have been changed/deleted/added such that Club Captains, players, committee and even spectators now need to be made aware and understand precisely which Laws have changed.
Consequently, in a joint venture between Cricket Wales & Wales ACO (Umpires & Scorers) a series of presentations which summarise these changes has been developed. These will be held at,
South West
1. Trinity College Carmarthen, Halliwell Centre, Teifi Hall. on 26th March, 7 – 9 pm
2. Tata Steel RFC Clubhouse, Taibach, Port Talbot. Tues 27th March 7 - 9 pm
South East
3. The Museum of Welsh Cricket, SSE SWALEC Stadium Cardiff. Thurs 29th March 7 – 9 pm
4. Croesyceiliog Cricket Club Clubhouse, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran. Tues 3rd April 7-9pm
During recent Cricket Wales Club Cluster meetings all clubs were asked if these presentations were worth doing.
I was met with a resounding YES from all quarters! “Essential”, “Most Definitely”, “Absolutely” were the sorts of answers YOU gave me!
All you need to do is TURN UP!
By as many players turning up as possible we will help close the knowledge gap between the Umpires/Scorers and Captains/Players and REDUCE the risk of arguments breaking out because of a sheer lack of knowledge!
Please make every effort to attend at least one of these presentations and give yourself every chance of knowing the Laws Of Cricket in 2018
