Len Smith retirement

|

‘At a recent event held at The Sophia Gardens Stadium representatives from the Institute of Groundsmanship (IoG) and Cricket Wales presented retirement gifts to Len Smith former Head Groundsman at Glamorgan County Cricket Club.

As well as being an international level groundsman, in an illustrious career Len has also worked at The University of South Wales (formerly The Polytechnic of Wales), Cricket Wales and in recent years as the Regional Pitch Advisor for Wales at the IoG.

Although retiring Len assured everyone he would be continuing on a voluntary basis because groundsman ship is in his blood!’
