Gwersyllt Park Net Opening

|

Gwersyllt Park have been given a extra boost this season by building a new net facility. The Net facility project has been funded by the ECB single investment scheme & Interest Free Loan funding along with key funding from the parish council & the club itself. Cricket Wales would like to thank all the partners who have funded this project.

The outcomes of this project will be huge for Cricket not only in Gwersyllt but in Wrexham and North-East Wales. The Nets will allow a safe & quality environment for the children at the club and from the surrounding area to develop as cricketers in the highest quality of facility. We will be able to use them to develop the next generation of Cricketer that you have seen in the All Stars session & attract new players to the game.

Sue Wells, North Wales Area Manager said in her speech at the opening of the nets, This has not just happened overnight it takes months, sometimes years to develop a project like this and you have to jump through a number of hoops along the way. Without Ron’s work, this would not have happened.

Since I have been in post I have found Gwersyllt to be a friendly & welcoming community club. They are supporters of a local Disability Cricket project and have a development plan to grow as a club in the future.
