This year’s Get Set Weekend powered by The Cricket Collective, will take place up and down the country on the 23-24 March 2024.
The Get Set Weekend has for many years been a pre-season focal point for clubs up and down the country.
We are encouraging clubs to register for the #GetSetWeekend using the short form on www.ecb.co.uk/getsetweekend .
Please note, even though the #GetSetWeekend national weekend is taking place 23-24 March we appreciate this weekend may not be suitable for all clubs and they can of course run their events on alternative dates.
The ECB has produced a digital booklet and an interactive editable Task List to support this, which are both here: booklet task list . The booklet includes advice on how to run a successful event, wet weather contingency plans, tips on creating welcoming environments, and new and improved social assets. The Digital Booklet can also be found on the ECB Resource Hub here which is available to all. Details will also be shared with clubs via email once they have signed up.
The ECB has agreed a partnership with Jewson where up to 1000 registered clubs*, can win store credit ranging from £25 to £500 to support them with their events over the weekend. Additionally, clubs will receive a #GetSetWeekend resource pack** in the post to help promote the activities, recruit new volunteers and decorate their club. The physical pack includes various sized posters, flyers, bunting and drinks coasters.
*Deadline for clubs to register and be entered into the prize draw to receive Jewson Account Credit up to the value of £500 is 23:59 on 29 February 2024 (Clubs can continue to register after this date but will not be entered into prize draw)
** Final deadline for clubs to register for the physical resource packs is 23:59 on 29 February 2024 (Clubs can continue to register after this date but will receive only a digital resource pack, not a physical resource pack)
To help drive local engagement and support clubs in recruiting volunteers for their Get Set Weekend and beyond, the ECB has created a suite of posters, images and social assets for both the CCB and clubs to use which is freely accessible via the ECB Resource Hub.
