CW Girls get England call-up

|

Bethan Moorcraft (St Fagans CC) (right) and Gwenan Davies (Clydach CC) (above) have been selected for the England Women’s Development Programme U19 Competition, which will take place from 20th-24th August at Wellington College. The competition will see the top thirty-nine Under 19 girls throughout England and Wales compete in a 50-over  competition and a T20 competition.  The thirty-nine girls will be split into three squads and play against each other as well as playing against a boys' county age group side, adding another dimension to the competition.

The EDWP U19 was previously known as the Junior Super 4s but after a restructure now sits directly under the England Women’s Academy which, in turn, feeds the England Women’s team.

This is a great achievement for Bethan, Gwenan and Cricket Wales to have two highly talented cricketers representing Wales in this squad. We all wish them the best of luck at Wellington College.
