Cricket Wales Statement 25 September 2020
25th September 2020
| Mallory Gray
Noting the latest local lockdowns, announced today by the
Health Minister, which come into force this weekend across Llanelli town and
Swansea and Cardiff Counties, Cricket Wales urges participants and Welsh
Cricket followers to consult both national and local authority channels for the
most up to date guidance in their areas.
These include:
https://gov.wales/local-lockdown
http://www.llanellitowncouncil.gov.uk/
https://www.cardiff.gov.uk/ENG/Your-Council/Strategies-plans-and-policies/Emergency-Planning-and-Resilience/coronavirus-information/Pages/default.aspx
https://www.swansea.gov.uk/residents
Any updates relating to the impact of participating in
cricket, save for the standing restrictions on travel into and out of locally
locked down areas, and the regulations which affect clubs operating as
hospitality business, will be communicated, should they change, and as we are
made aware of them.
Currently, as we understand it, organised sports activity
which complies with the law and any local regulations or restrictions, and
which is carried out in compliance with National Governing Body-issued guidelines
is still permissible in areas under local lockdown.
Please consult the Covid-19 section of the Cricket Wales’
website for playing guidance documents

(Final Indoor guidance for Wales will be posted there
shortly).
