Job Title:                                             Community Cricket Development Officer           

Salary:                                                  Dependant on experience

Glamorgan CC Club currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced coach to join the team at the National Cricket Centre at The SSE SWALEC in Cardiff.

The Community Cricket Development Officer will support the Club’s desire to establish and deliver a strong community engagement plan. The role will include administrative tasks along with coaching activities and supporting objectives.

 

Specific Responsibilities include:

 

  • Delivering a well-presented and equipped indoor school, offering coaching, net hire and cricket activities

  • A strong and effective development presence at external community engagement events

  • Establish excellent links with community leaders and other partner organisations

  • Develop strong partnerships in liaison with Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Cricket Wales and other partner organisations.

  • Promote, organise and manage coaching camps and courses during school holidays

  • Promote the National Cricket Centre to maximise revenues

  • Organise and manage all external community related tournaments held throughout the year e.g Cricket in the Castle, KWIK Cricket tournaments ensuring that there is a good geographical coverage across Wales

The successful applicant is expected to have:
  • significant experience in cricket coaching

  • experience of relevant Health and Safety policies and their implementation

  • A sports/cricket development background and a proven track record of successful project delivery .    

     

 

We are looking to appoint pro-active, flexible person who will provide, with passion and enthusiasm, the delivery of a high quality cricketing experience to the cricket community in their area.

 

 

 

A level 3 ECB Coaching qualification is desirable, ‘Level 2 (or equivalent) is essential as is with membership of ECBCA. Post is subject to Enhanced DBS check and a full clean Driving licence
