A vacancy has arisen within
Cricket Wales for a Black
and Minority Ethnic (BME) Cricket Coordinator to
support the successful roll out of the ‘
Cricket without Boundaries’ project in
Cardiff.
Cricket Wales is the National
Governing Body for junior and senior recreational cricket in Wales and exists
to lead, inspire and influence the Growth, Quality and Accessibility of Cricket
in Wales. Our vision is ‘Cricket thriving at the heart of Welsh communities’.
The ‘
Cricket without Boundaries’
project, supported by
Sport Wales Calls4Action funding, is a partnership
between Cricket Wales, Glamorgan Cricket and community groups. The project aims
to make
cricket more accessible for BME communities and create a thriving BME Cricket
network capable of increasing and sustaining participation in cricket in
Cardiff.
We want to provide a range of opportunities in a variety of settings
that consist of innovative, modern offers that respond to people’s lifestyles.
The BME
Cricket Coordinator will be
responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community groups
and young people involved in the ‘
Cricket Without Boundaries’ project and
establishing 6 'pop-up' clubs in Cardiff during summer 2015.
Customer insight and
quality of experience will be at the heart of these activities.
