Cricket Wales Welcomes New Staff Members to Drive Growth Across the Game

Cricket Wales is pleased to announce the appointment of three new team members who will play key roles in supporting clubs, volunteers, and the continued development of the women and girls’ game across Wales.

Tom Hughes – Business Support Officer

Cricket Wales is delighted to welcome Tom Hughes as its new Business Support Officer.
In this role, Tom will work closely with the Clubs & Leagues Lead to deliver exceptional customer service to the Cricket Wales network. He will take responsibility for overseeing the administration and compliance of key customer-facing systems used by clubs, leagues, and volunteers.

Tom joins the organisation with a strong background in the Welsh sport sector. Originally from North Powys, he grew up playing cricket locally and brings both practical experience and passion for the game to his new position.

 

Lowri Bendle – Women & Girls Development Officer

Cricket Wales is also pleased to announce Lowri Bendle as the new Women & Girls Development Officer for South West Wales.

Lowri will lead on driving opportunities and programmes that support one of Cricket Wales’ strategic priorities: the continued growth of the women and girls’ game. A committed advocate for the sport, she is eager to build on the momentum within the region and help more women and girls get involved.

Lowri looks forward to fostering further enthusiasm, stating her excitement to see the women and girls’ game flourish in the coming season.

Jodi Hamilton – Club Development Partner for North Wales and Powys

Cricket Wales is delighted to welcome Jodi Hamilton to the newly created role of Club Development Officer for North Wales & Powys.

In this position, Jodi will work hands‑on with clubs across the region, supporting their growth and long‑term sustainability.

With her knowledge of facilities and strong track record of community engagement, Jodi will be out in the field building meaningful relationships, helping clubs strengthen their infrastructure, and ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive.

Her appointment marks an important step in Cricket Wales’ mission to enhance the grassroots game across North Wales, creating resilient, well‑supported clubs that can grow with confidence.
