Cricket Wales Strengthens National Delivery with Five New Cricket Participation Officers

Cricket Wales is pleased to announce the appointment of five new Cricket Participation Officers (CPOs), expanding our team to twelve officers delivering programmes across Wales. The strengthened structure enhances our ability to provide high‑quality, consistent support for primary/ALN schools, and community cricket initiatives nationwide.

Cricket Wales works in partnership with Chance to Shine, Street Programmes, Lord’s Taverners ALN Schools, Super 1s Programmes, MCC Hubs, and the Wicketz Programme, ensuring a broad and inclusive cricket offer for young people across the country.

The national team is led by Keri Chahal, supported by Rhodri Jones.
Commenting on the expansion, Keri stated:

“Aligned with our strategic vision Criced: A Sport for All, we are delighted to have a full national complement of Cricket Participation Officers. Introducing cricket within primary schools is vital to inspiring the next generation, and our recent success with table cricket programmes demonstrates the positive impact of our work with ALN schools.

Moving from a regional to a national structure has already strengthened the consistency of delivery, while retaining strong local connections remains central to our approach. We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support of our partners as we look ahead to a busy spring and summer.”
