Cricket Wales and Tigers Eye Unite to Break Barriers in Women’s Cricket

Partnership Puts Women’s Health at Heart of Growing the Game

Cricket Wales is proud to announce a pioneering partnership with Tigers Eye, a leader in performance-enhancing sports bras for female athletes. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in removing barriers to participation and performance in women’s cricket across Wales.

The partnership is built on shared values of Leadership, Care, and Togetherness, with a unified commitment to ensuring that women’s health and comfort are no longer overlooked in sport.

“This partnership represents everything we stand for at Cricket Wales,” said Mark Frost CW Head of Partnerships. “We’re not just talking about growing the women’s game, we’re actively removing the barriers that hold female athletes back. When 1 in 5 women say breast movement limits their training, more than cost or access, we know we need to lead with action, not just words.”

For too long, proper breast support has been an invisible barrier in women’s sport. Research shows that 72% of athletes report distracting breast pain while exercising, and without proper support, performance suffers through decreased stride length, reduced oxygen intake, and increased injury risk, including ACL injuries.

Tigers Eye’s innovative approach treats sports bras as essential performance equipment, not undergarments. Just as athletes wouldn’t play cricket without proper shoes, female cricketers shouldn’t train without proper breast support.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Cricket Wales as part of Tigers Eye’s mission to change the way women are supported in sport. Proper breast support isn’t a luxury, it’s essential kit that impacts comfort and performance, just like spikes. Through this partnership, we will empower more women with the knowledge and support they need to move freely, train harder and compete with confidence.” said Rebeka Polgar, Tigers Eye Founder and CEO

The partnership will provide:

  • Access to specialist sports bras designed specifically for athletic and endurance performance
  • Education workshops on proper fitting and breast health
  • Support for grassroots to elite levels across Welsh women’s cricket
  • Breaking down kit and comfort barriers that prevent women from participating
  • Tigers Eye’s sports bras feature performance-enhancing technology including moulded cups for individual breast support, wide padded straps for comfort under cricket kit, antibacterial treatment, and a firm underband that stabilises without restricting breathing.

This partnership exemplifies how Cricket Wales and Tigers Eye are choosing to Lead in prioritising women’s health, Care for every player’s wellbeing, and work Together to build a future where no female cricketer is held back by preventable barriers.

“When we remove barriers like inappropriate gear and discomfort, we unlock potential,” continued Frost.  “This is about respect, performance, and ensuring that every woman and girl in Wales can play cricket with confidence and comfort.”

The partnership launches immediately, with Tigers Eye becoming the official breast support partner for Cricket Wales women’s programs.
