National Schools Cricket Day Celebrated Across Wales
Cricket Wales was proud to deliver a successful National Schools Cricket Day, with activity taking place in schools right across the country.
Led by our Cricket Participation Officers and Women & Girls Officers, the day saw sessions delivered to young people of all ages, providing opportunities to get involved in cricket in a fun, inclusive and engaging environment.

The event also marked an exciting milestone in the countdown to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with just 50 days to go as of Thursday 23 April. Schools Cricket Day played an important role in building momentum and inspiring the next generation of players ahead of this major global event.
Across Wales, a number of opportunities took place as part of the day, giving pupils the chance to represent their schools and experience the game in a competitive setting. The enthusiasm and energy on display highlighted the continued growth of cricket within schools and communities.

The success of the day is a testament to the hard work and dedication of staff and partners who continue to drive opportunities for young people to access cricket across Wales.
With strong engagement from schools nationwide, National Schools Cricket Day once again demonstrated the power of cricket to bring people together and create lasting experiences for young players.
