ECB Foundation Coach Bookings Now Open as We Launch 2026–27 Coach Development Programme
Cricket Wales is delighted to launch its ECB Coaching courses and Coaches’ CPD programme for 2026–27.
With opportunities taking place across Wales, coaches can begin their coaching journey, progress to a Core Coach qualification or continue developing their knowledge through a range of specialist CPD workshops.

Foundation Coach Courses
Bookings are now open for four Foundation Coach courses taking place this autumn at:
- W2W, Cwmcarn
- Bryncethin
- Pontarddulais
- Kinmel Bay
The Foundation Coach course is the ideal starting point for anyone looking to begin coaching cricket and costs £200.

Metro Bank Aspire ECB Core Coach
The Metro Bank Aspire Core Coach programme has been developed for coaches who predominantly coach girls’ cricket and supports the continued growth of the women’s and girls’ game across Wales.
Courses will take place at:
- Bryncethin, Bridgend
- Bethesda
- Darland, Wrexham
- Ebbw Vale
- Narberth (dates to be confirmed)

ECB Core Coach
The Core Coach qualification provides coaches with the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach players across the game.
Courses will run at:
- Darland, Wrexham
- Pontarddulais
- W2W, Cwmcarn

ECB Coach Association Workshops
Alongside formal qualifications, Cricket Wales will also be delivering a programme of ECB Coach Association workshops throughout the year.
Sessions include:
- Batting
- Pace Bowling
- Fielding
- Spin Bowling
Delivered by experienced first-class coaches, these workshops provide an excellent opportunity for coaches to continue their learning and share ideas with fellow coaches from across Wales.
Workshops cost just £20.
Coach Education Bursaries
Cricket Wales is committed to making coach development as accessible as possible. A range of bursaries are available to support eligible coaches with the cost of qualifications.
