Cricket Wales Club Activation Fund 2026
Cricket Wales is inviting clubs with women and girls’ sections to apply for small grants to deliver activity inspired by the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The fund focuses on growing participation, creating new club pathways and retaining girls in cricket before, during and after the tournament.
Clubs may apply for one or more strands and should demonstrate how activity will support the journey from inspiration → participation → retention.
Funding strands include:
Summer of Cricket – World Cup Legacy (£150 grant)
Holiday activity to retain girls after the World Cup. (Post 5th July)
Examples:
- Summer holiday girls’ sessions
- July/August Festivals or fun days
- Drop-in sessions for new players
- Girlguiding summer tasters
World Cup Club Takeover Fund (£125 Grant)
Clubs deliver World Cup-themed celebration activity during the tournament. (Between 12th June – 5th July)
Examples:
- Women’s or girls’ matchdays
- Watch parties / screenings
- Community events
- Girls’ taster sessions
Schools & Girlguiding to Clubs (£100 Grant)Clubs create pathways for new girls to try cricket.
Clubs deliver:
- Schools Cricket Day sessions and/or Girlguiding taster sessions
- Follow-up club session to help girls continue their cricket journey
