He oversees the national talent pathway, including the Regional Cricket Programme, Wales National Counties operations, and the Disability Performance Programme, while working closely with Glamorgan on Wales Age Groups.

An ECB Level 3 Coach, Matt previously served as Performance Director of Cricket and Associate Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He holds a first-class degree and PG Dip in Sports Coaching, is a qualified PE teacher, and has TASS Performance Lifestyle Level 3 accreditation.

A Devon native, Matt played 16 years at national counties level—the longest-serving post-WW2 player for Devon. Beyond cricket, he enjoys community work, volunteers with Therapy Dogs UK, writes for Dog Friendly Destinations UK, and sits on Hope Rescue’s Board of Trustees.
